A Bouncing Baby…

BOY! And we couldn’t be more excited!

We went to the doctor on Friday, Dec. 18 and had an ultrasound. We wanted to know the gender of the baby (so I can start buying exciting things), and he was ready to share with his parents.  It was wonderful and crazy to be able to watch him move at the same time as feeling him move.

Bryan is all ready to teach him all about basketball, cars and all those kinds of manly things; he’s going to be such a great dad. So now I’ll be outnumbered: Bryan, Baby Boy Phelps and Teddy (if Teddy really counts).

The doctor told us he is measuring exactly to the day (20 weeks and 4 days on Friday), so he’s just perfect.

We got pictures and a DVD (and as Bryan described it to his mom, and a mug and t-shirt with the baby on it. It was just like going to an amusement park).  It really was just a WONDERFUL day.

ps. you can buy this cute little bear here.

Also: Happy Christmas to EVERYONE (finally, three days before Christmas, I found a Christmas theme that I like.  Hope you enjoy!)

Yay, yay, yay! I am so excited for you. I’m happy he is measuring right where he is supposed to and that the day was so wonderful. I think you two are going to be great parents and you’ll have to let me know what it is like to raise a boy :)

Congrats Katie! Boys are fun, more fun than I thought they’d be! Sure, you miss dressing a girl in the cute little dresses, tights, and bows they have, but they really have come a long way since our generation when it comes to cute boy clothes! I’m excited for you and I ditto the fact that you guys are going to be great parents!

Yeah for little boys! As a mother you will never be alone again. Little boys have a special attachment to their mothers. I just adore it. Congrats Katie!

Boys are rotten, stinky and out-of-control. It’s fantastic.

Hooray Katie! I’m so excited for you! Baby boys are the best! (Except for when it comes to getting sprayed during diaper changes…)
